Borma Wachs Hard Top Oil is a blend of natural oils, resins and waxes designed for wooden tables, kitchen worktops, cutting boards and wooden utensils. It protects the surface while preserving the natural appearance of the wood.

The product is certified for food-contact applications according to EN 71.3, DIN 53160 and DIN 68861. The manufacturer indicates an approximate coverage of 14–26 m²/l, depending on wood species, porosity, sanding and application method. Always test on a small area first.

Surface preparation

Stir well before use. The wood should be dry, clean, absorbent and free from dust and grease. Light sanding is recommended where appropriate. Test compatibility before applying over previously painted, laminated, waxed or silicone-contaminated surfaces.

Application

Apply by brush, cloth, roller or spray. After 5–10 minutes, level the finish and remove excess product with a lint-free cloth. Recommended drying time is 6–8 hours. For a refined finish, lightly sand with P220–240 before applying a second coat. Full drying takes approximately 24 hours.
