Description

Welding new band saw blades and repairing broken blades

ABN welds new band saw blades into loops of the required length and repairs blades that have broken during operation by rewelding them.

Blades we weld

  • carbon-steel bands and blades;
  • bimetal band saw blades;
  • width: 8 to 50 mm;
  • thickness: up to 1.2 mm.

Applications

We weld band saw blades for cutting wood, metal, meat and bone, paper and stone.

IDEAL BAS 050 equipment

Welding is performed on a professional IDEAL BAS 050 machine equipped with an electronic pyrometer for process control. Dedicated cutting and grinding equipment is used to prepare the band ends and finish the welded joint.

Joint preparation and finishing

For a new blade, the band is cut to the required length, the ends are prepared and welded, and the joint is ground and finished. When repairing a broken blade, the damaged area is prepared for rewelding and the joint is then ground and finished.

Order the service

For a new blade, provide the blade material, width, thickness and required finished length. For a repair, bring or send the broken blade for evaluation.
