CMT HSS BW Circular Saw Blades for Metal, VAPO and TiCN

The CMT 227.HSS_BW series includes HSS DMo5 high-speed steel blades for cutting metal profiles and tubes on dedicated machines. The range comprises 15 items with diameters of 200–350 mm, a 32 mm bore and VAPO or TiCN treatments. Select the item according to the workpiece size, material and machine mounting.

VAPO and TiCN

VAPO is a steam-oxidation surface treatment. TiCN is a coating with high wear resistance and a lower friction coefficient. According to the CMT application table, VAPO is not recommended for bronze, copper or brass. Selecting a coating does not replace checking the cutting conditions.

Drive pin holes for this range: 2/8/45 + 2/9/50 + 2/11/63. Items 227.275.722P and 227.300.722P have a K thickness of 2.0 mm according to the CMT 2026 catalogue and ABN net price list.

Use and selection

CMT recommends an emulsion or spray oil for the HSS 227 series. Use dedicated metal-cutting machines with suitable speed and feed. Check the diameter, bore, thickness and drive pin holes. Observe the limits of both the machine and the blade.
